Manager Metal Procurement (m/f/d) Southern Europe
Aufgaben
- In your role, you will maintain and develop contacts with suppliers of aluminium scrap.
- You ensure the quality and adherence to deadlines of scrap deliveries and are responsible for their control and processing in the recycling plant and in the remelting plants.
- You are exploring new scrap markets to support the continued growth of recycled content.
- In your role, you will analyse the global procurement markets and develop new procurement strategies adapted to them. In addition, you continuously monitor and optimise internal material flows.
- You work closely with the metal planning functions, the European foundries, the recycling centre and other support functions (e.g. logistics, quality, etc.).
- Accelerating procurement/open orders is just as much your responsibility as reducing metal costs.
- The focus of your work is on the Italian market, but you also cover France and Switzerland if necessary.
Voraussetzungen
- Ideally, you have successfully completed a university degree or a vocational training.
- You already have professional experience in the area of metal purchasing/scrap purchasing.
- You are flexible and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Managing several tasks in par-allel and setting the necessary priorities is no problem for you.
- You are proficient in common MS Office applications and ideally have in-depth prior knowledge of SAP.
- Fluent spoken and written knowledge of Italian and English completes your profile. Knowledge of French would also be desirable.
